Elders’ Wisdom Teachings
In 2016 we held an Honoring the Elders gathering at the Center For Peace. This gathering brought into sharp focus how many wonderful teachers there are who have an association with the Center For Peace and an abundance of wisdom to share.
In 2017 the Center is poised to experience a resurgence in energy, fueled by new participants who are looking for the teachings that our elders can provide.
The Council decided to launch a monthly Elders' Wisdom Teaching program to be held the second Sunday of each month. (The teaching in May will be held on the 3rd Sunday to allow Mother's Day celebrations.)
Over the past 30 years of the Center's existence, there have been innumerable teachers who have come to share their teachings with us. It would be impossible to recall all of those teachers to return; however, our elders were here for those teachings, they have internalized that information and enriched it with other experiences in other settings and in many cases around the country and around the world.
It is our hope that these gatherings will enrich the lives of seekers as well as long time members of the Center.

The Path of the Red Road
an Introduction to Reading Joseph Rael’s Visionary Cards.
Why is The Red Road important?
"Your power and life purpose lie on your Red Road." ~ Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow)
“I am often asked, ‘Grandfather, what is the Red Road?’
“A lot of people think the Red Road is for Native Americans. But that’s not what I’m talking about. I created these cards because I want to help everyone understand how to live the Path of the Red Road.
“The Path of the Red Road is your heart path, the way of your life’s purpose. Each card has a message for you.”
Nan Citty will share how to use these Visionary Cards as a powerful tool for transformation for yourself and others.
This is the time to Discover and Uncover More About Your Power and Life Purpose. “We have no idea of our own potential. We have many, many more powers than we ever use.” ~ Joseph Rael
More about the Visionary Cards:“Exquisitely beautiful… each of the cards carries a potent spiritual metaphor to empower the seeker’s journey through the Four Directions.” — Larry Burk, MD, CEHP, Author of Let Magic Happen: Adventures in Healing with a Holistic Radiologist
Please bring a bandana with you. If you do not have one, one will be available for you.
The Visionary Art Cards will be available at this event for $20.
Nan is a Licensed Social Work Therapist who has worked for over 30 years counseling families and young people.
About 20 years ago she created the Native Nurturing program here at the Center For Peace to teach not only our children, but also interested adults the ancient lessons brought to us by Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow.
For eight years, Nan served as co-chief of the Sun Moon Dance here at the Center and beginning last year, she has taken the role of Drum Dance Chief.
This is a free public event. Donations to the Center for Peace are always appreciated.
