1pm-3:30pm
Join us in the Sound Peace Chamber for this Kirtan event.
What is kirtan? A collective experience of healing, transformative, ecstatic love-bliss … using mantra and music as vibrational medicine for body, mind, and heart. It is medicine for our well-being and upliftment, and it is a practice of devotion to the highest and deepest within and all around.
It is yoga! And we practice, and rise, together. It is not a concert or performance, but a collaboration and amplification of our energy, intention, and participation. We’d love to have you!
Suggested Donation is $20.
More About Mantra & Kirtan:
Gershone & Gina "Mantra is ancient vibrational technology to shift into a greater resonance with Reality, to clear the mind and open the heart. Recited, chanted, or sung, it’s a yoga practice much, much older than practicing asanas, and found in spiritual traditions worldwide. Our offering honors and includes elements of traditional kirtan, and is infused with modern musical inspiration of beat and melody, with prayerful English and Hebrew lyrics woven into the songs in an embrace of all spiritual traditions. Add the collective energy of a group gathering, and you have an experience that takes you beyond yourself into communion, realness, and elevation, as well as contributes positive, loving vibration to the world all around.
We love to bring high energy grooves as well as sweet, transcendental spaces into this experience. It is meant to get you moving, even as you are invited to sit still or lay down and just receive. There’s no way to sing poorly - your voice is a powerful expression of vibration, and there’s a collective sound to lose yourself into. The most important element is chanting from your heart - for your own healing or for the world’s healing, or to deepen your devotion to the Divine however you think of it. And it’s so freeing to set your voice free. That said, you are always welcomed to simply listen and just be in the energy.
Our offering is not a performance or concert, though the music is the medium… It is a practice that we all do together. It’s incredibly powerful and even ecstatic when we are all in communion with the music and the mantras and raising a sound and a prayer that’s bigger than all of us combined, whether it’s 3 of us or a roomfull.
It’s a joy to have you come practice with us"
